Gleb Bogomolov Biography

Gleb Bogomolov was born in 1933 in Leningrad, St. Petersburg, Russia. Bogomolov is an active participant in the unofficial artists’ movement, and in 1974 he took part in the First Exhibition of Nonconformist Artists at the Gaza Palace of Culture in Leningrad. Since that time, Bogomolov has participated in more than 215 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His name is mentioned throughout the book, "Nonconformist Art, The Soviet Experience 1956–1986", published by Thames and Hudson, Zimmerli/Rutgers. Bogomolov is a member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Contemporary Art and a winner of the Tsarskoselskaia Award.
