SAR Serge Sarkis
ImageInternationally recognized as SAR, Serge Sarkis was born in Russia, and graduated from the Art Academy as a "monumentalist." SAR considers large-scale outdoor sculpture as his main artistic pursuit. He has completed many major projects in Europe, Asia and North America, including memorial complexes, monumental murals, statues of major national figures and commemorations of historic events. Hi work is exhibited in national museums, cultural centers and private collections. SAR's own technique of hand embossed paper bas relief was used by NBC Television in their 1988 Olympic posters.
